Join the National Solar Movement

Have you found a solar tour in your area? On Oct. 1, more than 5,500 homes and businesses will open their doors to solar
enthusiasts taking part in the world’s largest grassroots solar event:
the ASES National Solar Tour. Visit nationalsolartour.org to find a
tour of solar-powered, energy-efficient and environmentally conscious homes in your area.
One example is the Austin Cool House Tour that took place
in June, when more than 2,000 people visited 16 innovative green
homes. The loft pictured here, a former tour home in Austin, is
a multi-purpose space — it functions as a home and a working
art studio for the two owners. High-efficiency UV-rated windows
allow the artists a full view and provide natural light.
Want to see more? Visit the ASES Facebook page to see photos of tours around the nation. To share your favorite sights, email
tour photos to aabdallah@solartoday.org and we will include them
in the Facebook album.
