Thousands Gather
for Annual Energy Fair

Nearly 20,000 attendees converged on central Wisconsin in June for the Mid- west Renewable Energy Association’s
21st annual Energy Fair.
The three-day event provided fair-goers
with information and resources on energy
efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable
living. Throughout the weekend, the MREA
hosted tours of its training facility, showing
off the solar and wind technologies that power
the site throughout the year. More than 200
workshops were taught by nationally recognized experts, and Bill McKibben, author of the
book, “Eaarth,” brought in an overwhelming
crowd for his keynote presentation.

200 workshops offered. With presentations, cooking demonstrations and
nearly 300 exhibitors, the event had activities for all ages and interests.
