Wire Designed For Solar Arrays
Kabelwerke Villingen, in Germany, has introduced a
specialized range of electrical wire to meet North American
standards for solar array cabling. The SolarViLL UL90 product
is designed for outdoor installation in direct sunlight, rated
from - 40°C (- 40°F) to 90°C (194°F) in flex mode (for a tracking
system, for instance) and to 150°C (302°F) in fixed installations.
The product will handle up to 600 VAC. Flame resistance
meets the UL1581 standards. kwv-vs.de
High-Capacity Vertical Fan Saves HVAC Costs
Airius of Longmont, Colo., has introduced its Air Pear Thermal
Equalizer Model 100, designed to maximize vertical airflow
over an area up to 2,500 square feet under a ceiling 60 to
100 feet high. The 45-lb ( 20.5-kg) model has a variable-speed
motor and is capable of moving up to 1,950 cubic feet per
minute ( 3,300 cubic meters per hour), drawing hot air from
under the ceiling to reduce heating and air-conditioning costs.
